Admission Requirements
Most universities in Hungary require:
- Secondary school or Bachelor’s diploma (translated to English or Hungarian)
- Valid passport
- Proof of language proficiency
- Academic transcripts
- Motivation letter and CV
- Some medical and art-related programs may require entrance exams or portfolios
Language of Instruction
English-Taught Programs:
Hungary offers a wide range of Bachelor's, Master's, and even Doctoral programs in English across many disciplines. These are especially popular among international students.
Hungarian-Taught Programs:
For those fluent in Hungarian, tuition-free or lower-cost programs are available. However, most international students choose English-taught programs.
Language Requirements
To apply for English-taught programs, students usually need:
- IELTS (min. 5.5–6.5) or
- TOEFL iBT (min. 60–80) or
- Other accepted international certificates
Some universities may also offer their own English proficiency tests or conditional admission with language support courses.
